It has been predicted that by the year 2010 there will be nearly 19,000,000 women living alone, an increase of nearly 40% over 1990. Along with this .. "baby boomers" will be turning 50 every 7 1/2 seconds ever since January 1, 1996. You may be saying to yourself "what does this have to do with home maintenance & repair?" A LOT! As we choose to live alone (one income households) and get closer to retirement (anticipation of living on a fixed income) we will have to start doing more of our own home maintenance & repairs. We will become more motivated to save some money and do more of these chores ourselves. Whether you are one of these individuals or not, it is important that SOMEONE does the yearly maintenance on your home.
